A prominent manufacturer of retail products has issued a reminder for consistent personal and general hygiene as flu season begins. The Punjas Group has donated hundreds of soap bars to students, emphasizing the importance of handwashing for cleanliness and healthcare.
Priya Kumar, the group’s quality control manager, stated that Ocean Soaps Limited has been producing a range of soaps for several years. The company operates a world-class laboratory and testing facility in Navutu, Lautoka, which complies with stringent Australian certification standards.
Kumar explained to students that the ingredients in the Bodyguard soap brand are particularly effective for enhancing personal hygiene and preventing the spread of germs through proper handwashing. She highlighted that handwashing with soap is crucial in achieving the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goal of significantly reducing child mortality rates among those under five years old by 2015. Kumar noted that instilling good hygiene habits early in children can lead to positive behavioral changes in their communities.
