Several regions across the country have been affected by flooding, with homes submerged following heavy rainfall in the Eastern Division overnight. In Wailoku, residents are still dealing with homes that are underwater, while others are attempting to clear debris.
The Fiji Meteorological Services reported that the Eastern Division is experiencing intense rainfall, leading to flash flooding in many low-lying areas. The Nadi Weather Office indicated that the current weather situation is a result of a trough of low pressure over Fiji that is slowly moving eastward. Showers linked to this system are expected to continue in the impacted areas until later today.
In other divisions, partly cloudy conditions with occasional showers may be observed. Stay tuned for more updates.
