Several regions across the country have faced flooding, with homes submerged, following heavy rainfall in the Eastern Division overnight. In Wailoku, many homes remain inundated, while residents work to remove debris. The Fiji Meteorological Services reports that the Eastern Division is still experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to flash flooding in numerous low-lying areas. The Nadi Weather Office attributes the current weather conditions to a trough of low pressure over Fiji, which is gradually moving eastward. Showers related to this system are expected to continue in the affected areas throughout the day. Other divisions may see partly cloudy skies with occasional rain. Stay tuned for further updates.
