Five police officers were charged last month with various offenses, including assault causing actual bodily harm, serious assaults, and unlawful possession of illegal drugs. All officers have been placed on leave pending the resolution of their court cases. Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, has reiterated the organization’s dedication to fairness and transparency by ensuring that officers are held accountable for their actions when they violate the laws they are meant to uphold.
