A fire at John Wesley College in Raiwaqa has caused significant damage, destroying key facilities including the Technical Drawing room, science lab, computer lab, home economics room, and staff room.

Puamau Sowane, the CEO of the National Fire Authority, stated that most of their fire trucks arrived later than expected at the scene. He indicated that a timelier response might have prevented further destruction.

This incident highlights the importance of quick emergency response to minimize damage in such situations. As the community rallies together to support the recovery efforts, there is hope that the school can rebuild its facilities and continue providing quality education.

In response to this unfortunate event, the local community and the administration may come together to find ways to support affected students and teachers, which can strengthen community bonds and encourage a future focus on safety and preparedness.
