Fire Contained at Hilton Fiji Beach Resort: No Injuries Reported

A fire broke out at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa on Saturday in a storeroom area located at the back of the property. The National Fire Authority is currently investigating the incident.

Carey Osborne, the general manager of the resort cluster, confirmed that the fire was quickly contained and extinguished, with no injuries reported. “No guest rooms were affected,” she stated.

As a precautionary measure, a small number of guests were evacuated from nearby rooms. Osborne emphasized the resort’s commitment to upholding strict safety and security regulations to ensure the well-being of both guests and staff.

Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, the Divisional Police Commander West, also reported that there were no casualties and is awaiting the results of the investigation.
