South Sea Towage Limited has welcomed three new graduates from the Nadave Technical School as intern employees. Nathan Campbell, Seveci Vakaloloma, and Saimoni Raikuna are the first beneficiaries of this initiative, which is part of the efforts by the Center for Appropriate Technology and Development (CATD) under the Ministry of I-taukei Affairs, Culture, Heritage, and Arts.

Aporosa Silatolu, the director of CATD Nadave, emphasized the significance of this event in fostering meaningful employment opportunities for young people in Fiji. “The center aims to provide a platform for meaningful employment for many youths in Fiji, and we are delighted to have signed on these three interns today. They are the first of many,” said Silatolu.

Saimoni Raikuna, a recent graduate, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity at South Sea Towage Limited. “I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity, as I never imagined this would happen. This is just the beginning of my career,” he stated.

Raikuna encouraged other youths in Fiji to leverage their skills and talents to support themselves. “To my brothers and sisters listening, don’t view your educational background as a barrier to achieving your dreams.”

The Nadave Technical School aims to contribute to the Ministry of I-taukei Affairs’ initiatives to create job opportunities for youths in Fiji and address rising unemployment rates.
