Fiji’s Young Talents Shine at Primary Schools Championship!

The Fiji Primary Schools Inter-District Championship begins today at Subrail Park in Labasa, featuring 20 boys’ teams and 10 girls’ teams from various districts. The competition will officially commence with a match between Ba and Savusavu.

Dinamani Mudaliar, president of the Fiji Primary Schools Football Association, expressed optimism for this year’s tournament, highlighting its role in showcasing young talent from the region. He noted, “This event not only allows the children to demonstrate their skills but also fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among the different districts.”

Mudaliar stated that preparations for the event have been meticulous, ensuring Subrail Park is ready to host participants and spectators. “The facilities are in excellent condition, providing an optimal environment for the young athletes to compete,” he added.

In addition to matches at Subrail Park, some games will also take place at the grounds of Khalsa College, though the main events will be centered at Subrail Park. Mudaliar anticipates tough competition over the next four days.
