As the FIFA World Cup qualifiers draw near, Rob Sherman, the head coach of the Fiji Bula Boys, expressed concerns about the unpredictability of their group rivals due to recent coaching changes. With Josh Smith and Felipe Vega-Arango taking on new coaching positions, Sherman emphasized the uncertainty it introduces to the opposing teams’ strategies.
“There’s an element of the unknown because Josh and Felipe are new in their roles. Their past performances may not reflect their approach to the upcoming matches. We’ve conducted our analysis, but there’s always some uncertainty with new coaches on board,” Sherman remarked.
Fiji is determined to leverage their home advantage, backed by a fervent local fan base, as they aim for a strong performance in the next phase of the World Cup qualifiers.
