As the FIFA World Cup qualifiers draw near, Fiji Bula Boys’ head coach, Rob Sherman, addressed the challenges posed by recent changes in the coaching staffs of their group opponents. With Josh Smith and Felipe Vega-Arango taking on new coaching duties, Sherman emphasized the unpredictability these shifts introduce into their playing styles.
“There’s an element of the unknown because Josh and Felipe are new in their roles. How they’ve played in the past might not reflect how they’ll approach the upcoming matches. We’ve conducted our analysis, but there’s always some uncertainty when new coaches are involved,” Sherman remarked.
With strong backing from their dedicated home crowd, Fiji is determined to leverage their home advantage and strive for a positive outcome in the upcoming stage of the World Cup qualifiers.
