As the FIFA World Cup qualifiers draw near, Fiji Bula Boys’ head coach Rob Sherman expressed concerns about the uncertainties surrounding their group opponents due to recent coaching changes. With Josh Smith and Felipe Vega-Arango taking on new coaching roles, Sherman noted that this could affect the teams’ playing styles.
“There’s an element of the unknown because Josh and Felipe are new in their roles. How they’ve played in the past might not reflect how they’ll approach the upcoming matches. We’ve done our analysis, but there’s always some uncertainty when new coaches come into play,” Sherman remarked.
Fiji is focused on leveraging the enthusiasm of their home supporters as they aim for a strong performance in the next phase of the World Cup qualifiers.
