Fiji Water Flying Fijians winger Jiuta Wainiqolo made headlines after beating 19 defenders in a standout performance against Montpellier, leading his team to a 30-17 victory over the weekend. This achievement sets a new record for the number of defenders beaten in a single match across the four premier rugby competitions: Top 14, Super Rugby, URC, and Premiership, as noted by Opta and RugbyPass websites.

The 25-year-old, who also holds an Olympic 7s gold medal, showcased his skills by running a total of 155 meters during the match, completing 10 carries and making 2 clean line breaks. Wainiqolo capped off his impressive performance by scoring a try from halfway, demonstrating his agility and strength as he maneuvered past several players in Round 7 of the French Top 14.
