The 2024 Fiji Tourism Convention taking place this week in Nadi marks a significant milestone in the Coalition Government’s efforts to enhance growth, innovation, and sustainability in Fiji’s tourism sector.
With record-setting visitor numbers and a forward-thinking national tourism framework, the Convention showcases the government’s effective leadership and the industry’s resilience in establishing Fiji as a premier global destination.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Villiame Gavoka, emphasized that a major outcome of the Convention is the introduction of the Fiji National Sustainable Tourism Framework 2024-2034. This framework reflects the government’s dedication to positioning Fiji as a global frontrunner in sustainable tourism, ensuring long-term benefits for both the environment and local communities.
