The 2024 Fiji Tourism Convention, taking place this week in Nadi, marks a significant milestone in the Coalition Government’s initiative to foster growth, innovation, and sustainability within Fiji’s tourism sector.
With an impressive rise in visitor numbers and a proactive national tourism framework, the Convention will showcase the government’s effective leadership and the industry’s resilience in enhancing Fiji’s status as a premier global destination.
Villiame Gavoka, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, emphasized that a major outcome of the Convention is the introduction of the Fiji National Sustainable Tourism Framework 2024-2034. This framework underscores the government’s dedication to establishing Fiji as a worldwide leader in sustainable tourism, ensuring lasting advantages for both the environment and local communities.
