The event attracted over 900 manufacturers and suppliers from more than 15 countries, drawing notable interest from buyers and industry leaders.
The TCF Council of Fiji participated in the fair, which allowed Fijian manufacturers to showcase their competitive edge and capabilities in the industry. According to Inbamalar Wanarajan, president of the TCF Council of Fiji, the booth presented a diverse selection of high-quality products and services, which garnered attention from key stakeholders eager to explore potential partnerships.
As Fiji’s primary TCF export market, the fair serves as an annual gathering that facilitates crucial networking opportunities for local manufacturers. Wanarajan remarked on Fiji’s unique position within the global market, highlighting its ability to cater to smaller production runs and niche segments.
The event also included enriching seminars, such as a presentation titled “The Fiji Fashion Explosion,” which discussed both the opportunities and challenges faced by the Fijian fashion and manufacturing industry. This presentation featured insights from industry experts, including Robert Cromb, Tracy Farrington, Ellen Whippy Knight, and Temesia Tuicaumia.
Representatives from various Fijian apparel companies, including Danam Fiji Pte. Ltd, United Apparel (Fiji) Pte. Ltd, and Nagsun Apparel Pte. Ltd, showcased their brands under the TCF Council of Fiji banner, further elevating Fiji’s profile in the global market.
This participation highlights Fiji’s growing role in the textile and fashion industry, suggesting an optimistic outlook for the nation’s capabilities and potential future collaborations.
