Lolohea Naitasi of Team Fiji made her Olympic debut at the Grande Palais in Paris, competing against world number five Julyana Alsadeq from Jordan. Although the 17-year-old Taekwondo athlete faced a loss to Alsadeq, she was lifted by the overwhelming support from her team and other Oceania competitors. Naitasi stated that this was her best performance to date, taking her coach Master Ra’s advice to enjoy every moment of her first Olympic experience. Having made history as Fiji’s first Taekwondo athlete to qualify for the Olympics, Naitasi is now focused on her next challenge at LA 2028.
