Team Fiji’s Lolohea Naitasi made her Olympic debut at the Grande Palais in Paris, where she faced world number five, Julyana Alsadeq from Jordan. Although the 17-year-old Taekwondo athlete fought hard, she ultimately lost to Alsadeq. However, she felt buoyed by the strong support from her team and other Oceania representatives. Naitasi described this experience as her best performance yet, crediting her coach, Master Ra, for encouraging her to relish every moment of her first Olympic journey. As the first athlete from Fiji to qualify for Taekwondo in the Olympics, Naitasi is now focused on her next goal—competing in the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
