Top men’s rugby teams in Fiji are preparing to battle for the championship and valuable bonus points at the much-anticipated Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s tournament this week. The event will distribute 75 bonus points, with an additional 100 points available at the following weekend’s Marist 7s in Suva.
At present, the Devo Babas top the Fiji Bitter Series standings with 1,012.316 points, closely followed by the Lavidi Brothers at 967.035 points, and Wardens Gold in third with 908.970 points. The bonus points up for grabs at Nawaka could significantly bolster their chances of clinching the overall Series title.
The Nawaka 7s will kick off on Thursday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi, with matches starting at 10 a.m. Fans can catch live coverage from FBC Sports starting Friday at 11 a.m., leading up to the highly anticipated finals on Saturday.
