Prashantika Prasad, a 22-year-old aspiring model, is eager to enhance her confidence as she competes for the Miss Fiji Universe 2024 title, set to take place in Mexico later this year. Currently a fourth-year MBBS student at the University of Fiji in Lautoka, Prasad expressed her motivation for entering the pageant is to embrace unique opportunities and foster her self-assurance.
With a focus on promoting self-confidence and making the most of available opportunities, she emphasized the importance of facing challenges. Prasad mentioned, “While spontaneous opportunities may be intimidating, they contribute significantly to personal growth.”
She is committed to raising awareness and supporting the development of a resilient society that empowers youth through education, mental health support, and drug rehabilitation initiatives. Her ultimate goal is to graduate and work as a healthcare provider.
Prasad has a deep admiration for fellow contestants who rise to such significant challenges, noting that she has learned the value of female solidarity during this journey. She previously served as the deputy head girl at Sangam Sadhu Kuppuswamy Memorial College in Nadi and participated in the school band, performing the lead in the song “My School” for the official school music video.
Following in her father’s footsteps, Shalendra Shambu Prasad, she is an accomplished singer and a lead member of the University of Fiji’s musical band. In addition to her studies and music, Prasad enjoys playing tennis and actively engages in community service during medical camps.
