Parliament is scheduled to convene at the end of this month to elect the President of Fiji. The Business Committee has confirmed that the appointment will take place on the 31st at 11 am. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is anticipated to propose the current President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, for reappointment. According to the 2013 Constitution, a president is permitted to serve for two terms.
