Parliament is set to convene at the end of this month to appoint the President of Fiji. The Business Committee has confirmed that this appointment will take place on the 31st at 11 am. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is anticipated to nominate the incumbent President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere. According to the 2013 Constitution, a president is allowed to serve two consecutive terms in office.
