President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere of Fiji departed the country yesterday to take part in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Niue’s constitution, which will occur on Saturday, October 19th, 2024. This significant event, known as Niue Constitution Day, marks the nation’s journey toward self-determination since 1974 and is expected to attract a substantial number of visitors. During President Katonivere’s absence, Justice Salesi Temo will serve as Acting Chief Justice. The President is expected to return to Fiji next Wednesday.
