The President of Fiji, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, departed for Niue yesterday to take part in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Niue’s constitution on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The event, known as Niue Constitution Day, marks the nation’s journey towards self-determination since 1974 and is expected to attract many visitors. During President Katonivere’s absence, Justice Salesi Temo will serve as Acting Chief Justice. The President is set to return to Fiji next Wednesday.
