Today, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, the President of Fiji, welcomed a delegation from the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union (FSSRU) at the State House.
During the visit, the FSSRU members presented a traditional sevusevu and extended an invitation for the President to preside over the FSSRU’s 85th Deans competition celebration, scheduled for tomorrow at the HFC Stadium.
President Katonivere warmly received the delegation and accepted the invitation. He expressed his deep gratitude to the FSSRU for their dedication and effort in promoting rugby at the elementary and secondary education levels.
He assured the members of his continued support and encouraged them to raise awareness about the sport’s development in remote islands, highlighting the importance of understanding the regulations set by the FSSRU.
