The Minister of Agriculture and Waterways, Vatimi Rayalu, has made a strong statement urging individuals who are considering leaving the People’s Alliance Party to do so immediately, emphasizing that their presence is unnecessary in Fiji. This remark follows Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s announcement about factions within the party that may intend to break away and establish a new political group before the 2026 elections.

Rayalu expressed his unwavering support for Prime Minister Rabuka and the People’s Alliance Party, asserting that there is no place for dissent, disloyalty, or personal ambitions within the party. He emphasized the importance of unity and reminded members that the party’s existence is rooted in the significant sacrifices made by Fijians during the 2022 General Election, where citizens mobilized in large numbers to seek change.

He reiterated that the party is committed to serving the interests of the Fijian people and will not allow distractions from rumors or self-serving agendas. Rayalu stressed that respect towards voters is paramount and underscored the Party’s commitment to building a prosperous future for all Fijians while confidently moving forward without those who wish to depart.
