Fiji’s Paralympians Shine Bright at Paris 2024!

The Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection has publicly praised Fiji’s Paralympians for their impressive performances at the ongoing Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Minister Lynda Tabuya expressed great pride in the athletes, highlighting their remarkable talent and determination on the international stage. Notably, Irene Mar achieved a personal best in Taekwondo, securing 7th place globally.

“This extraordinary achievement reflects her dedication and hard work, and we are extremely proud of her successes,” Minister Tabuya stated.

Selina Seau and Naibili Vatunisolo Tagicakibau also received accolades for their strong performances. Seau showcased exceptional resilience and spirit, while Tagicakibau made history by setting a new Oceania Record in the F64 shot put with a throw of 9.19 meters.

“The Ministry acknowledges the immense effort and commitment that our three female Paralympians have invested in their training and competition. Their accomplishments highlight their perseverance and passion for their sports, serving as an inspiration for future generations to follow their dreams,” she concluded.
