According to the Global Burden of Disease Study conducted in 2019, oral diseases impact nearly 3.5 billion individuals worldwide, with high sugar intake linked to diabetes, obesity, and dental decay.
She highlighted the Government’s dedication to combating Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) through a collaborative, multi-sectoral strategy.
The upcoming 2024-2025 budget emphasizes community outreach efforts, acknowledging the critical role of dental professionals in responding to pandemic situations and preparing for future health challenges.
Dr. Mehar Ali, President of the Association, encouraged dentists to pursue ongoing education due to the continuous evolution within the field of dentistry.
She pointed out that the conference serves as a valuable platform for sharing the latest innovations and trends in dental care.
This year’s theme, “Cultivating Connections, Communications, and Collaborations,” underscores the importance of working together in the dental profession.
