Kavekini Tanivanuakula and George Bose are set to fulfill their dreams as they have been named in the 12-member squad for the Fiji Airways men’s sevens team, which will compete at the Dubai 7s. Under the guidance of head coach Osea Kolinisau, both athletes joined the training camp, bringing their experiences from the Army and BLK Lavidi Brothers clubs.
During their time in the training squad, Tanivanuakula expressed deep emotion about his selection, sharing how significantly it affects him personally, especially in memory of his late mother, who passed away when he was just in seventh grade. Meanwhile, Bose has been adapting to the national team environment, viewing this opportunity as a stepping stone toward achieving his ambition of securing an international rugby contract.
Both players have undergone rigorous preparation, fueled by high aspirations ahead of their upcoming journey to Dubai. Coach Kolinisau acknowledged the challenges and pressures that come with managing a team known for its exceptional talents on the international rugby stage.
The Dubai 7s is scheduled to take place from November 29 to December 1.
