Fiji’s New Dawn: A Promise of Freedom and Unity

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, announced that the current Government has fulfilled its promise to restore freedoms to the people of Fiji by ending the oppressive rule of two leaders.

Addressing the National Federation Party Annual Convention, Professor Prasad emphasized the Government’s efforts to establish a democratic and transparent administration in Fiji. He highlighted that the party has successfully eliminated fear and intimidation and has committed to engaging with the community for support and consultation.

Prasad urged party members to back these initiatives and continue supporting the Government’s mission to enhance the nation. He pointed out that the National Federation Party is Fiji’s oldest political party, having endured numerous challenges while other political entities have disappeared.

He expressed that the party’s longevity stems from a shared commitment to the nation’s welfare, uniting members in their dedication to Fiji’s improvement. The party advocates for unity, peace, and assistance to the underprivileged to elevate their living conditions. Prasad affirmed their goal to provide honest, compassionate leadership that aims to strengthen, enhance, and fortify Fiji, pledging to create a more equitable and fair society.
