Fiji’s Netball Showdown: Who Will Claim the Crown?

The Financial Hub Super League will reach its thrilling conclusion on October 12 at the FNU Gymnasium in Nasinu, featuring a final match between Suva Swift’s IGA and the Lautoka Stars. This tournament has served as a vital platform for Fiji’s up-and-coming netball talents, and the final is expected to showcase a spectacular level of skill and competitive spirit.

Suva Swift’s IGA has been the standout team throughout the season, demonstrating remarkable teamwork and consistency that has earned them the top position in the league. On the other hand, the Lautoka Stars are determined to disrupt their unbeaten streak and claim the championship title.

In addition to the championship match, the competition has offered valuable experience for all participating teams. The Baby Pearls Kacau will compete against Nasinu Tactix in the playoff for third place, while the Nadroga Stallions and Baby Pearls Kikau will vie for fifth place. Nadi and Tailevu Doves will also face off for seventh place.

Vivian Koster, CEO of Netball Fiji, emphasized the league’s importance in nurturing new talent. “It has been a long but productive league season where we have discovered new talent and witnessed the continued growth of our athletes,” Koster stated. She also praised the crucial support from Finance Hub, which has allowed athletes to refine their skills and compete at a high level, enhancing their chances for future national team selections. “Netball Fiji greatly values the partnership with Finance Hub that has given our athletes the opportunity to compete and present their case for selection into our national teams,” Koster added.
