Prince Charles Park is set to host the George ‘Fiji’ Veikoso Homecoming Concert next month. Saliceni Raiwalui, the special administrator of Nadi Town Council, announced that final preparations for the park are underway.
Mr. Raiwalui expressed that this concert will initiate a new trend for events in Nadi, stating, “This show will bring a different taste, the sound of the Pacific carrying the spirit of Fiji.” He emphasized the significance of hosting the concert, mentioning that while the organizers will cover all expenses at Prince Charles Park, the council will manage parking space, potentially utilizing Koroivolu Park if needed.

This concert marks George Veikoso’s return home after four decades of promoting Pacific music globally. He noted that this homecoming is about more than just a concert. “It’s a celebration of our roots, our culture, and the music that connects us all. For four decades, I have had the privilege of carrying the spirit of Fiji and the Pacific to audiences across the globe,” he shared. Mr. Veikoso is excited to conclude this journey back to his origins and perform with artists he considers family, including J Boog, Maoli, and Josh Tatofi.
He expressed that the event will not only celebrate his return but also spotlight the unifying and uplifting power of music, calling it a tribute to their shared heritage.
