The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) continues to play a vital role in the nation, according to Commander Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai. He emphasizes that the army involves much more than just “uniforms and guns.” In a recent interview on The Lens@177, Ro Kalouniwai highlighted the ongoing discussions about the productivity of the RFMF.
He pointed out that the military is essential in areas such as peacekeeping, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief. “Productivity is often viewed through the lens of monetary value, but the RFMF approaches this differently,” he stated.
Moreover, he expressed an interest in recruiting more officers if the opportunity arises.
