The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) continues to play a significant role in the country, according to Commander Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai. In a recent interview on The Lens@177, he emphasized that the military’s contributions extend beyond “uniforms and guns.” Ro Kalouniwai highlighted the discussions surrounding the productivity of the RFMF, pointing out that the military is instrumental in peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, and disaster relief efforts.
He mentioned that while productivity is often evaluated in monetary terms, the RFMF has its own unique approach to its responsibilities. Additionally, he expressed a preference for increasing officer recruitment if the opportunity arises.
