Likuliku Lagoon Resort, a luxury resort exclusively for couples and fully owned by a Fijian family, has once again been recognized in the top 20 resorts in the annual Readers’ Choice Awards by Conde Nast Traveler for Australia and the South Pacific.

Tony Whitton, the owner and managing director of the Fijian family-owned Ahura Resorts, expressed pride in their achievement, noting that this marks the seventh time they have received the Conde Nast Readers’ Choice award in their 18 years of operation. He highlighted that this recognition is a testament to their commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience while supporting local Fijian families.

According to a statement from the adults-only resort, the Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are considered one of the most prestigious honors in the travel industry, recognizing excellence in destinations worldwide. This year, over 575,000 readers in the United States shared their travel experiences, helping highlight popular destinations they wish to revisit.

In addition, Likuliku Lagoon Resort announced a $10 million revitalization plan for 2025, which will require the resort to close for three months from February to April next year.

The results of the 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards will be available on Conde Nast Traveler’s website and featured in the November issue of the publication.
