Fiji’s Future Leaders: RFMF Cadets Celebrate Milestone Graduation

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) marked a significant occasion on November 19, 2024, with the graduation ceremony for the 1/23 Officer Cadet Course and the 1/24 Territorial Officers Bridging Course. The event took place at the Force Training Group Drill Square in Nasinu.

The Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua, officiated the ceremony, offering commendations to the graduates for reaching this important milestone in their military careers. In his speech, Tikoduadua underscored the importance of the occasion, referring to it as the beginning of a remarkable journey. He urged the new officers to recognize their roles as both commanders and leaders, emphasizing the need to inspire those around them through courage and conviction.

Tikoduadua highlighted the substantial duty that rests on the graduates as they help shape the future of the RFMF and serve the nation. He stated, “You will uphold the traditions of the RFMF while guiding its evolution to reflect the values of our nation. Your development as an officer is now your responsibility.”

In concluding his address, the Minister encouraged the new officers to lead with integrity and honor while embracing Fiji’s democratic values. He called upon them to serve their soldiers and the nation with excellence, reflecting their sense of pride and duty.
