Music enthusiasts are in for a treat as the George ‘Fiji’ Veikoso’s Homecoming Concert is set to launch at Prince Charles Park in Nadi this weekend. Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, the concert promises to be an unprecedented event for Fiji.
Apakuki Nalawa, the leader of the InsideOut band, shared that the concert involves an extensive setup, with 13 containers filled with lighting, staging, and sound equipment transported from various parts of the globe, including sound engineers from the United States. He emphasized the scale of the production, stating it will provide an extraordinary experience for attendees.
InsideOut is among a select group of bands chosen to perform. The first day of the concert will feature acts such as Lomez Brown, Junior Soqeta, Justin Wellington, Jaro Local, J Boog, and George ‘Fiji’ Veikoso.
On the second day, fans can look forward to performances by Stanley T, Paradise Roots, Billy T, Ratu, InsideOut, along with international artists Josh Tatofi and Maoli wrapping up the event.
According to the Fiji Meteorological Services, Saturday’s weather forecast predicts generally fine conditions, with possible isolated showers in the afternoon or evening and cooler temperatures at night.
Security measures will be significantly heightened over both days of the concert.
