Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has announced that the Cabinet has approved a review of the Education Act of 1966. Rabuka emphasized that this Act is crucial as it lays down the framework for delivering and administering education in Fiji and noted that a thorough review is long overdue.
The purpose of the review is to ensure that the Act aligns with the current educational environment, caters to the changing needs of students, teachers, parents, and the wider community, and addresses any educational challenges or gaps that have arisen since the last update.
