Fiji’s Heads of Missions have gathered in Suva for a pivotal three-day meeting starting today, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This important gathering aims to address Fiji’s national priorities in light of recent strategic documents, including the National Development Plan, the Foreign Policy White Paper, and the National Defence and Security Strategy.
Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sitiveni Rabuka, will open the meeting, outlining the government’s vision for the future direction of the missions. Throughout the discussions, the Heads of Missions will align their strategic conversations with mission operations to foster national development and enhance the livelihoods of all Fijians.
In addition to examining Fiji’s foreign relations through a comprehensive governmental strategy, the diplomats will engage in panel discussions focused on national interests and foreign policy goals. A major emphasis will also be placed on maximizing returns on investments for the nation.
