Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica announced that the Government is in the final stages of Fiji’s National Digital Strategy. During his address at the Fiji Tech Summit held in Nadi, Mr. Kamikamica emphasized that this is an all-encompassing five-year plan aimed at shaping Fiji’s digital future, with a target launch by the end of this year.
He stated, “As we strive to transform Fiji into a digitally empowered economy, where technology drives economic growth and development, it is crucial that we do so in a sustainable and strategic manner.”
The National Digital Strategy will prioritize several key areas, including the enhancement of digital infrastructure and cyber resilience, the promotion of digital inclusion and empowerment, the encouragement of innovation-driven economic growth, the advancement of smart governance and digital public services, support for sustainable development, and the strengthening of global digital cooperation.
