Fiji’s Culinary Showdown: Who Took Home the Top Prize?

Fiji hosted its inaugural Micro, Small Medium and Enterprise Cook-off, featuring 12 participants from the food and culinary industry at the Paridiso Restaurant located near Albert Park in Suva.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for MSME Manoa Kamikamica emphasized that this event serves as a platform for Fiji’s street-food MSMEs to gain the recognition they deserve while showcasing the incredible culinary talent within the community.

“This is an exciting event that recreates the open street food atmosphere similar to those found in many international destinations,” Kamikamica expressed.

He noted that the cook-off allows street vendors to learn, taste, and exchange culinary skills alongside renowned chefs, helping them enhance their craft.

The event provided a stage for local street-food vendors to display their distinctive dishes. Marauna Natural Food clinched first place, followed by Bula Bites in second, with Samdhins Karahi taking third.
