Fiji’s Corruption Inquiry to Welcome Global Expertise?

The Commission of Inquiry into the controversy surrounding the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) may include international members. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka confirmed in response to inquiries that this possibility is currently under consideration. He noted that the Terms of Reference for the Commission have been drafted and will be released soon. Mr. Rabuka indicated that the document is still in its draft phase. The Commission is set to investigate the appointment of FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali and look into allegations made by former FICAC acting Commissioner Francis Pulewai.
