The Commission of Inquiry into the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) may include international members. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka confirmed in a response to inquiries that this option is currently under consideration. He mentioned that the Terms of Reference for the inquiry have been drafted and will be shared soon. “It’s being made up now and is in draft form,” he stated. The Commission will investigate the appointment of FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali and look into allegations raised by former acting Commissioner Francis Pulewai.
