The National Development Plan is set to be unveiled next week on Tuesday, September 17th. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Prof. Biman Prasad, has confirmed this significant event, noting that it will mark a historic moment for both the government and the citizens.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is anticipated to announce the National Development Plan, a project developed after extensive consultations with both private and public sectors, as highlighted by Prof. Prasad.
He emphasized the importance of the National Development Plan, which will address and prioritize critical areas. Among the significant issues raised by Fijians during the public consultation are access to water, rural electrification, improved connectivity, reliable road infrastructure, and enhanced health services.
The forthcoming National Development Plan will outline strategies for the next three, five, and twenty years, aiming to serve as a comprehensive blueprint for the future of Fiji.
