Fiji’s Basketball Championships Kick Off with 70 Teams!

The Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Basketball Championships are set to kick off today at Lautoka’s Multi Purpose Court. Laisiasa Puamau, the Chief Operations Officer of Fiji Basketball, expressed enthusiasm about the strong participation this year, with 70 teams registered for the three-day tournament in Lautoka.

“We are excited to welcome Lautoka Muslim, Votualevu College, and the return of St Thomas High School, alongside RKS joining us for the first time,” Puamau stated.

In the U15 Boys category, Pool A includes prominent teams such as ISS, SGS, and MBHS 2, competing alongside CCL, ISN, and SHC. Pool B will showcase a competitive roster with teams like YSS, MBHS 1, LDS, Tilak High School, and FAMS.

The U15 Girls division features Pool A with YSS, LDS, ISN, and CCL, while Pool B comprises SGS, SJSS, Votualevu College, and ISS, promising an exciting championship.

In the U17 Boys division, Pool A includes CCL, SVC, RKS, SGS, and MBHS 2. Pool B features LDS, NHS, ISN, QVS, and ISS, and Pool C consists of YSS, THS, FAMS, and MBHS 1.

The U17 Girls Pool A has a strong lineup of THS, NHS, SGS, GHS, and SJSS Blue, with Pool B showcasing CCL, SVC, SJSS White, YSS, and LDS, ensuring thrilling tournaments.

For the U19 Boys, Pool A consists of MBHS 1, FAMS, CCL, JWC, and QVS, while Pool B includes YSS, SGS, Votualevu College, LMC, and MBHS 2. Pool C features LDS, SVC, STHS, THS, and Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS).

In the U19 Girls category, Pool A brings together ACS, LDS, FAMS, and SJSS, with Pool B including SGS, YSS, SVC, and ISS competing for a chance in the finals.

The tournament promises exhilarating games, exceptional performances, and unforgettable moments for all players and fans alike.
