Aanvi Prasad’s hard work and dedication have culminated in her exceptional achievement as one of the top scorers in the 2024 Fiji Eighth Year Examination. The Year 8 student from Lautoka Central Primary School earned an impressive score of 491 out of a possible 500 marks. Reflecting on her journey, Aanvi expressed that her commitment and sacrifices throughout the year had paid off.
“It was my dream to be the highest scorer, and I sacrificed for it,” she stated. Aanvi explained how she managed her studies by creating timetables and consistently working towards her goals. “I always communicated to my parents my desire to score highly and achieve top results in all my exams. I am delighted that I succeeded.”
As the head girl of her school, Aanvi acknowledged the competition she faced. “My peers often said that obtaining the highest mark in the final examination was impossible, which sometimes made me doubt myself. However, I am grateful to my parents and teachers for their support, reminding me that anything is possible.”
Her father, Ronil Prasad, shared his pride in Aanvi’s accomplishments. “I am a proud dad. The investment we made in our daughter’s education has truly paid off. Witnessing her achievement as a parent brings a unique joy and fulfillment.”
Looking ahead, Aanvi aspires to continue her academic journey at Natabua High School next year. Notably, she shares this high honor with Viola Ravutubananitu from Tagitagi Sangam School in Ba, who also achieved a score of 491 marks.
