Fijian citizens can expect to pay less for fuel this month due to reduced crude oil prices and a weaker US dollar compared to the Fiji dollar in May, reports the Fijian Competition & Consumer Commission (FCCC). The FCCC has released the updated fuel prices for July, based on Fiji’s fuel imports from May.
The prices for July are as follows: Motor spirit costs $2.91 per litre, a reduction of 17 cents; premix is now $2.74, down by 18 cents; kerosene is $1.91, a decrease by 11 cents; and diesel is $2.50, 13 cents cheaper.
Additionally, gas prices have dropped. The cost for a 4.5kg cylinder is now $15.05, down by 50 cents. A 12kg cylinder is now priced at $40.12, a reduction of $1.35. Bulk gas is at $3.10, down by 10 cents, and autogas is $2.17, seven cents cheaper.
