The Vodafone Fijian XV is looking to be inspired by head coach Mosese Rauluni in their final match against Spain in the WXV 3 tournament in Dubai. This match, set for tomorrow, marks Rauluni’s last game after he resigned following the Fijiana XV’s 45-17 loss to Samoa.

Rauluni led the Fijian Drua to their third consecutive Super W Grand Final this year and guided the Fijiana XV to victory in the Oceania Championship, securing their qualification for next year’s Rugby World Cup. He also coached the team to their first-ever victory over Japan. His tenure has been notable for the centralisation of the program in Nadi, which has positively impacted both players and staff. Notable players like Atelaite Buna, Salanieta Kinita, and Repeka Tove have emerged thanks to his leadership.

According to the Fiji Rugby Union, this upcoming match will be Rauluni’s final assignment before relocating to Brisbane, Australia, to join his family. FRU CEO Rovereto Nayacalevu has expressed gratitude for Rauluni’s contributions and indicated that the search for a new head coach for the Fijiana XV and Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua teams will commence soon.

The highly anticipated match between Fiji and Spain is scheduled to start at 4:30 am and will be broadcast live on Sky Pacific.
