Fiji Airways Fijiana head coach Saiasi Fuli is prioritizing the transition, development, and submission of a detailed plan for the upcoming season to facilitate a smooth handover to the new management. Although the Fiji Rugby Union has chosen not to renew his contract, Fuli remains committed to his role and intends to finalize strategies for the next HSBC 7s Series before his tenure ends in December.
Fuli expressed his appreciation to Fiji Rugby for the chance to coach the Fijiana over the past five years, acknowledging the difficulties he encountered while moving from coaching the Men’s sevens team to leading the women’s sevens team. “I would like to thank Fiji Rugby for the opportunity that was given to me for the past five years, it was really a challenging task for me, coming from a Men’s background as I was assistant coach with Gareth Baber for the Men’s sevens team, when I was called to guide the women’s sevens team,” Fuli stated.
During his time with the Fijiana, Fuli observed considerable growth and development among the players, assisting them in transitioning from club tournaments to international competitions.
