Livia Naidei, a debutant for the Fijiana 7s rugby team, is eagerly anticipating her opportunity to represent Fiji at the opening of the HSBC SVNS Series in Dubai. Hailing from Savusavu, the talented halfback has been dedicated to the sport since 2009 and expresses her gratitude for being selected for the prestigious team.
“I am incredibly happy to have been chosen to represent Fiji,” Naidei shared. Her journey in rugby began in her hometown of Savusavu, later leading her to Suva, where she broadened her skills in the 15s format before earning her place in 7s.
Despite facing challenges throughout her rugby career, Naidei credits her family as her greatest motivators, encouraging her to strive for excellence. “It hasn’t been easy, but I thank my family for their unwavering support, which pushes me to do my best. I aim to make them and Fiji proud,” she added.
