Fijiana 7s player Verenaisi Ditavutu has expressed the team’s determination to improve their standings in the HSBC SVNS Series. After competing in the first two tournaments in Dubai and Cape Town, Fijiana currently holds the 11th position out of 12 teams in the rankings, and Ditavutu emphasized the need for enhancement.
“Our goal is to elevate our position in the standings. We want to move above eighth place, which will require significant effort from the team,” Ditavutu stated.
Having recently returned from the United States, where she played with the Rhinos Rugby Academy in San Clemente, Ditavutu described her experience as enjoyable, highlighting the camaraderie formed with players from various countries. “It was fun bonding with different players who came together as one team. Meeting people was great, but it was primarily about rugby,” she said.
As the season progresses, Ditavutu is focused on achieving peak fitness to contribute effectively to the team’s success.
This highlights a positive outlook for the Fijiana 7s as they continue to strive for improvement and build team cohesion. With determination and the experience gained from international play, there’s hope that they will climb the rankings in future tournaments.
